He's not planning on fading away quite just yet.

Fresh from the success of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino has been talking about the future.

Having continually stated that he intends to retire once he makes his 10th film - Hollywood marked his ninth if you're keeping track, at least according to his official ranking, anyway - QT is seemingly putting all that to one side for now.

Speaking at a BAFTA event in London earlier this week, the 56-year-old teased a number of projects that he's currently working on in one form or another, all of which he intends to realise before he gets to that apparent final movie.

“Normally when I finish a script we pretty much go right into production on it,” Tarantino said, as quoted by Variety.

“When I finished Hollywood, I wasn’t ready to start. Part of the reason I wasn’t ready to start it was because I was just really plugged into writing at that point.

“So I finished Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, finished that script, put it aside, and then I wrote a play. And then I wrote a five-episode TV series. And right now I’m writing a book and I’m hoping that I’ll be finished in three months."

So that's a TV show, a play and a book. Tarantino reckons he'll be finished with the book by March with the play in his sights right after that and the TV show to follow.

Cagey as ever, he neglected to go into specifics on just what to expect in the aforementioned projects, so feel free to speculate accordingly.

As for that 10th film - potentially a more intense version of Star Trek if the man is actually being serious about those regular teases - well, he's remaining just as coy.

"I have no idea what it’s going to be. It’s going to be a little bit down the line."
