Revelers kicked out of Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ celebration

Queen Bey and her king, Jay-Z, were the perfect royal couple at a fete for her new album “Renaissance” at the Times Square Edition over the weekend, but Page Six hears that some of their courtiers ran amok.

“Beyoncé was very nice to everyone, having [conversations] and thanked everyone for attending,” says a source who notes she arrived with Jay-Z at around 10:30 p.m.

However, despite the ultra-tight list, swanky environs, and the gracious hosts, some guests still got booted out for bad behavior.

“A few people got kicked out for being drunk and foolish,” says our insider. “They didn’t know how to act,” we’re told.

The source says even more people were ejected “for recording videos.” They said, “Security put tape over the camera lens of people’s phone when they checked in.”

(Beyoncé is famously strict about controlling her image. In 2018, Page Six reported that the superstar’s publicist sent out an e-mail asking news outlets to not publish fans’ pictures from Coachella and instead, only use approved shots. Her publicist also previously tried to have unflattering images of her removed from the Internet in 2013.)

Beyoncé posted shots of her arrival at the party and others showcasing her silver outfit that included a beaded purse with the No. one album’s name and release date.

Her mom, Tina Knowles, posted pictures of Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, Lena Waithe, Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter, and Lala Anthony from the party.

Donald Glover, wearing a chest bearing unitard, also attended, along with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jill Scott, Telfar Clemens, and Tyler Perry.

“I’ve watched for over two years all of the constant hard work, the sacrifice sometimes of time with her family, the all night sessions, working while sick, weekends and then nurturing three kids,” Knowles wrote about her daughter.

She said she also saw “time away from a very supportive husband, the Blood sweat and tears. I say that to say Beyonce works harder than any human being I know and deserves and earns everything. She gets nothing is handed to her.”

We hear they “played the new album all night, non-stop,” at the event, dubbed “Club Renaissance.” And that the space was decorated with neon signs of song names and lyrics.

Questlove Tweeted, “Don’t even know if I’m allowed to say it but I literally watched an entire club LOSE IT. Renaissance played from start to finish 3 times. . . I never seen nothin like this.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z also attended a party for Kendrick Lamar at Dumbo House this weekend where the “Swimming Pools (Drank),” rapper performed and “male groupies,” kept trying to get near Bey and Jay-Z, says a source.
