Mary M. Cosby might be coming back to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City after Jen Shah’s conviction for fraud.

Mary Cosby Could Save The Show

With the end of season three and a lackluster reunion special, Bravo is back to business planning out the next season. They know they have to replace Jen Shah because, unlike Teresa Giudice, Shah doesn’t have enough status. Put the show on pause while she finishes out her jail stint.

The open spot has fans advocating for Mary to come back because despite being married to her step-granddaddy, and accusations of her church being a cult, Mary was great TV. She also left on her own which means coming back would be more likely because Jen is gone and those cult accusations led to zero truths.

Page Six is confirming that Mary will be back in a “friend” capacity via several sources. The source clarified tat Mary will not be full-time for sure but she will be there to  “film a few scenes”.

‘RHOSLC’ Will Begin Filming Soon

The new season is scheduled to start filming on Feb 13 and an insider is sharing that Mary “wanted to come back,” and only really left because she needed time to get over one season cast member Jennie Nguyen, 44, racism scandal that came out near the end of the season.

Mary was kind of piled on in season 2; on one hand, the cast was attacking her church and accusing her of leading them like a cult leader and even defrauding some of her congregation of money.

“Mary was dealing with a lot of trauma after Season 2,” shared the insider. This was confirmed when she decided to skip the reunion that year, contract or not. Funny enough Jennie accused Mary of being racist earlier that season after Mary said she liked Jennie’s “slanted eyes”.

Jennie’s post was in the middle of the pandemic and the BLM movement, she was upset that people were looting and vented on social media but it went left. But when she decided to throw a glass at Mary on TV, the woman of faith felt threatened.

Jen Shah Is Going Away For A While

As we mentioned above, Jen, who was recently convicted of wire fraud now has to serve 6.5 years and when she’s out, several years of probation. Homeland security and the FBI made it clear that they aren’t going to go easy on Jen.

She also has to get permission for basic life advancements like applying for a credit card and reporting to her probation officer who has the right to drug and alcohol test her without warning. Jen blamed her stealing from the elderly and others on her mental health and abuse of substances.

During the reunion for season three, Jen’s co-stars were split with some still defending her and others being plain disgusted by her. Heather Gay said she would check in on Coach Shah and the boys as Jen asked her to in that heartbreaking finale episode. She also admitted that if she can, she will visit Jen in prison.

Meredith Marks was another loyal supporter of Jen. She said that she didn’t want to kick someone when they are already down including Jen. It will be interesting to see how Mary will interact with the ladies if she comes back.
