John Stamos shares hospital selfie after surgery

Have mercy!

John Stamos revealed he is recovering from an elective surgery to fix his trigger finger.

The “Full House” star let fans know he had the “quick” procedure done by sharing a photo of himself in full surgical gear — a hair net, purple gown and black face mask.

“Damn you #Triggerfinger! I went in for a quick elective procedure – In and out,” Stamos, 58, captioned the photo on Friday. “Thanks to the fine doctors/nurses for taking such good care of me. I’ll be up and drumming in no time. Thank you for the well wishes. Xo.”

Stamos also added a close up photo of his hand with faded marker on the tips and a large white bandage covering his palm.

Trigger finger, also known as stenosing tenosynovitis, is a condition in which your fingers get stuck in a bent position, according to Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately for Stamos, it’s common for people who partake in work or hobbies that require repetitive gripping — like playing musical instruments such as the guitar or drums.

It’s unclear which procedure Stamos underwent, but according to Mayo Clinic surgical treatment usually consists of a small incision at the base of the affected fingers where the doctor can cut open the constricted part of the tendon sheath.

Prior to the elective surgery, Stamos spent the summer touring with The Beach Boys where he sang backup, played the guitar and also drummed for the band.

“I am forever grateful to @thebeachboys boys and @mikeloveofficial for having me on tour this summer. I can’t wait till we DO IT AGAIN,” he captioned a video roundup from his time on stage with the band.

Stamos is married to Caitlin McHugh, 35. The couple wed in 2018 and welcomed their first child together, son Billy, the same year.
