Jeannie Mai’s ex-husband, Freddy Harteis, doesn’t seem too happy about her pregnancy with her current husband, Jeezy.
After the 42-year-old shared she was five months pregnant with her first child, one fan suggested her ex, Harteis, was “probably biting bricks and screaming” about the news.
“Yep. I upgraded from trash to treasure a long time ago,” Harteis, 45, reportedly responded, according to Yahoo. “Best decision I ever made. Congratulations. Being truly happy is an amazing feeling. Love my little family.”
The comment has since been deleted, but @theneighborhoodtalk has a screen grab of the interaction posted to their account.
When Mai’s “The Talk” co-host, Loni Love, saw the screen grabs she did not hesitate to jump in and defend her friend.
“Auntie Loni here: This sounds like a woman answering… @thehollywoodhunter you better then this ..,” the comedian wrote, tagging Harteis. “We were happy with your children being born so show the same grace to Baby Jenkins.”

Sthanlee Mirador/Sipa USAThe baby mama drama is due to the fact that Mai did not want to have children while she was married to Harteis for 10 years — something she opened up about on “The Real” while the couple were still together in 2014.
“I guess it’s just really hard because I can’t just have a child for another person, and you don’t have a child to save your marriage,” she shared at the time.
Mai and Harteis announced they were splitting three years later in 2017. Six months after they officially split, Harteis revealed he was expecting his first child with girlfriend Linsey Toole. They now have two children together and are engaged to be married.
Mai married rapper Jeezy in April 2021 and they announced they were expecting in September.
