Taylor Swift Debunks Rumors That She HATES Her Own Album!

The world of T. Swift is currently spinning wildly on its axis following the opening night of the singer’s highly-anticipated ‘Eras Tour!’ Swift played a three-hour set in Glendale, Arizona on Friday night, kicking off one of the most sought-after concert experiences in years.

The “betty” songstress commemorated her latest career milestone by releasing four new tracks at midnight on Friday morning, and her beloved ‘Swifties’ took to social media to express their excitement for opening night, including a myriad of concert videos on TikTok!

In one particular video, the 33-year-old gets down to business, addressing long-standing whispers that she has no love for one of her records released in recent years; the Eras Tour will be the first time any of its tracks have been performed in stadiums.

Is ‘Blondie’ Trying To Ignore ‘Evermore’ For… Ever More?

The COVID-19 lockdowns inspired Swift to hightail it into creative mode. She wrote enough material to result in two whole albums, which were both released in 2020. “folklore” and “evermore” were “sister albums” that were stripped of studio sheen.

Having been forced to cancel all of her live performances scheduled after 2019, Swift had to figure out a unique way to get the former album to her fans in a way that could substitute for a stadium tour; Swift and her studio team of Jack Antonoff and The National’s Aaron Dessner participated in a making-of documentary called “folklore: the long pond studio session,” released on Disney+ in November.

However, eagle-eyed and eared Swifties would quickly notice she would stop there. As of this writing nearly three years later, Swift has not released a Long Pond Studio Session album or documentary for “evermore,” which was released a month later in December of 2020.

Countless Reddit discussions beg the question of whether Swift “hates” the album and “refuses to acknowledge” its presence in her discography.

Reddit Swifties theorize that she “is trying so hard to avoid overexposure,” or that releasing “evermore” had been a calculated move for the Grammys to consider the Album of The Year for “folklore.”

TikTok ‘Swifties’ Also Seem To Think She Dislikes The Album

TikTok is another popular place for Swifties to ponder whether Swift wants to sweep “evermore” under the rug.

TikTok Swifties have created videos theorizing she intentionally left the album off of her Instagram grid, the album did not count because she didn’t “reinvent” herself, or that she intentionally refused to acknowledge the album’s first anniversary.

Other Swifties have dedicated their time to debunking the theory by listing specific instances where she has acknowledged its presence.

What Did The Queen Herself Have To Say?

Last night at Swift’s Arizona show, she performed several songs from “evermore.” While at the piano, she acknowledged the longstanding rumors surrounding her “evermore” feelings!

“We’re currently in the middle of the ‘evermore’ album,” she tells the Glendale crowd. “Which is an album I absolutely love, despite what some of you say on TikTok!,” Swift adds to a cheering crowd.

“Oh, I’ve seen it,” she continues, “I’ve seen all of it!”

Naturally, TikTok Swifties had plenty to say about Swift’s proclamation.

“she sacrificed ‘speak now’ so we could have ‘evermore,” one wrote.

“she called us bad children,” another one exclaimed.

“she knew, she knew,” a perceptive Swiftie wrote.

“Guys… I think she knows,” another fan guessed.

“rip me i died dead,” a Swiftie commented with their last words.

Others pointed out the “bombastic side eye” that Swift gives the crowd!

There we have it, Swiftie folks! Haters are NOT hate, hate, hating here!

The US leg of The Eras Tour will run through August. The final show will be in Los Angeles.
