Simon Cowell Enjoys Pub Outing With Fiancee And Friends Amid Bike Injury Recovery

Simon Cowell seems to be recovering swimmingly after falling off during a fun ride on his electronic bike weeks ago.

Cowell’s accident followed his first tragic bike crash, which happened a year and four months ago and earned him a broken spine.

The TV personality’s friend, Amanda Holden, uploaded images of them, his fiancée, and other loved ones during a pub outing.

Following Cowell’s latest bike crash, medical personnel discharged him from the hospital to continue his recovery process at his home in West London.

As seen in the Instagram snaps from Holden on Sunday, February 27, the “Britain’s Got Talent” co-judge appeared to be in better spirits while enjoying a pub hang out with their loved ones.

In an Instagram Story image, Cowell was all smiling at the camera. He was dressed casually and sported a large cast on his left arm. Holden pointed to the distance while rocking dark shades.

The 51-year-old captioned the photo “Which way” with a laughing emoji. The outing was in celebration of her posthumous 51st birthday on February 16.

Cowell’s partner of over eight years was also present, as seen in an image Holden posted to her Instagram feed.

The girlfriends posed for a picture with Kelly Hoppen. The trio were all smiles and linked arms while rocking matching dark shades. The celebrant captioned the photo, “Full of Sunday roast and apple pie #sunday #friendship #food #laurensilverman.”

Earlier this month, The Blast disclosed that Cowell had suffered his second electronic bike injury following his first crash in 2020.

Sources told The Sun that the “American Idol” judge was fortunate to survive as he was driving his electric bike at around 20 mph when “the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch.”

Cowell reportedly flew over the vehicle’s handlebars and landed on the road. He was also without the protection of a helmet.

Another insider compared the TV mogul’s bloody appearance at the crash site to a scene from the “Phantom of the Opera,” noting that the goodwill of passers-by saved him.

The source explained that these onlookers stopped the traffic around Cowell, preventing further injury. Someone on the scene also placed a call to emergency services.

Paramedics took the blood-soaked TV personality to a hospital over a broken arm and suspected concussion. Paparazzi later photographed him sporting a sizeable neon cast on his arm.

In the image uploaded on Instagram, Cowell smiled while walking about with a few abrasions on his cheek. His crash happened on January 27, as written in the post’s caption.

In 2020, the “Scoob!” The actor shattered his back in three places and reportedly had to undergo a five-hour surgery to fix his spine. On top of that, he had a metal rod installed in his back.

Cowell’s injury occurred on a Saturday afternoon while he was testing out his new electric bike in the courtyard of his Malibu home.

On the afternoon of the next day, the “Who Shot Simon Cowell?” Star came online to give a health update and take a jab at his situation. His Instagram post read:

“Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages. And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Stay safe, everyone.”

The “Britain’s Got Talent” Host Vows To Always Wear Helmet

Following Cowell’s second crash and backlash from internet users for his failure to wear a helmet while using his electronic bike, he vowed to make significant changes to that effect.

Earlier this month, The Blast shared that the 62-year-old admitted to the Daily Mail that it was silly of him to have suffered another e-bike crash.

Cowell said to the photographer who caught him and Holden walking near the crash site, “I’m a bit of a nutter. I’m feeling much better, thank you. I’ll definitely wear a helmet next time.”

The TV personality also revealed that he might hang up his e-biking cape for good following his second near-death experience.
