With Netflix being the creators of both Stranger Things and Sex Education, it’s always likely that different elements of the worlds were likely to intertwine.
But one eagle-eyed fan has spotted a crossover in the new season of Sex Education, and took to social media to voice their discovery.
Reddit user bluecowgreensheep took to the forum with a side-by-side picture of a missing poster in both TV series, and they’re extremely similar. They even have the same handwriting, so whoever wrote them clearly got hired twice for the poster (or is on Netflix’s payroll).Netflix
Don’t worry, if you didn’t pick up on it, it’s very ‘blink-or-you’ll-miss-it’. On the left side, the picture for Madam the dog is a similar format to the right side, which is when Will Byers goes missing on Stranger Things season one.
The Reddit user wrote: “A cool reference to Stranger Things in Sex Education that I noticed is that the missing poster made for Madam Groff is in the exact same format as the missing poster for Will Byers”
Another user replied: “Nice observation there man!”
Meanwhile, another third commented: “It might be that one of the designers at Eleven Films, the production company for Sex Education, also worked on Stranger Things. Dig deeper! This is an amazing find.”
One other account holder wrote: “I think it’s some kind of an inside joke in the props department because the wording of the two posters is exactly parallel. Who gives the height of a dog in a description? What lost dog is “carrying a chew toy”? (as a parallel to carrying a book bag) Someone is having fun with us.”
Have you checked out season two of Sex Education yet? If not, it’s currently streaming on Netflix, while Stranger Things is currently in production for season four.
