Tiffany Haddish addresses DUI arrest: ‘We’re going to work it out’

Tiffany Haddish addressed her recent DUI arrest on “The Tonight Show” Monday, telling host Jimmy Fallon that she’s lawyered up and they’re going to “work it out.”

Before diving into the seriousness of it, Haddish joked about her love life following her November breakup with Common.

“I can say this, Jimmy … I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man,” Haddish shared via video call, “and God went ahead and sent me four … in uniform.”

When the audience’s laughter died down, the “Night School” star, 42, said her attorney is dealing with the ramifications.

“And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out,” she explained. “I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!”

Fallon, 47, replied, “Yeah, you’ve got to be a little clearer!”

Peachtree City Police in Georgia told us on Jan. 14 that they arrested the “Girls Trip” star around 2:30 a.m. ET after she allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.

Cops had received a call that a driver was dozing off on the road, and Haddish’s vehicle matched the caller’s description.

Police conducted their traffic stop for the “Night School” star’s vehicle as she was pulling into the yard of a residence, according to the department. She was subsequently transported to Fayette County Jail “without incident.”

Despite the tough turn of events for Haddish, the arrest did not appear to ruin her night judging by her mugshot, obtained by TMZ.

In the photo, Haddish appeared cheerful as she flashed a huge smile for the officers. Her hair was styled with her short, blond hairdo, and she seemed to be wearing a gray jacket.

According to the site, she posted a $1,666 bond to be released from jail around 6:30 a.m. ET.
