Tom Brady To Be Featured In Future Netflix Comedy Roast

What does one do when you are the greatest of all time? When it comes to Tom Brady, you make sure to get in a room full of your peers and comedians to do what many NFL fans and opponents have wanted to do for a very long time, and that is to make fun of the future Hall of Fame quarterback to his face.

And that is exactly going to happen thanks to Netflix.

Tom Brady Comes Out Of Retirement

Brady who is considered by many as the greatest NFL player of all time and one who has blasted through endless NFL records to make his own, is also a seven time Super Bowl champ. Adding to his accomplishments that would fill multiple players careers, you’d think he would be content and retire and rest on his achievements. In January of 2022, that seemed to be the case but Brady had a change of heart and he reversed his decision in March of 2022 and decided to return to Tampa Bay to give it another go for the chance to get another Super Bowl ring.

And however his season goes, his brief retirement, his successes and so much more will be brought up when he hits up Netflix in 2023 to be hit in a completely different way. It won’t be from a 300 pound linebacker trying to break his bones, it will be from a comedian and or peer that will go after his ego and instead try to break his funny bone.

We have to ask, is there anything that Tom Brady can’t do? Well we are going to find out as Variety reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl winning star is planning a new series of Netflix comedy specials called “Greatest Roasts of All Time” or “GROAT.”

“To quote my good friend, Marshawn Lynch … ‘I’m just here so I won’t get fined,’” Brady said. Brady will not only be a part of his own roast but will executive produce it along with all the other future roasts. There is still some time before we will be able to see it and it should lend to the fact that there will be more material for the roasters as the show will be filmed after the upcoming NFL season and be released sometime in 2023.

Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats, Robbie Praw added, “We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL in order to delay this roast. In all seriousness, it’s a huge thrill to work with the greatest football player of all time on this project. No one’s better at taking hits and still coming out on top, so we know the roast will be a breeze for Brady.”

Lots of other important pertinent details on who will join the roast and more information on official dates are still incoming but what should be great for Brady and his roast and the upcoming roasts is that comedian Jeff Ross also known as “The Roast Master General” will also help produce and most likely be a part of the dais. He is no stranger to amazing roasts, so his input will be very valuable to make this a complete success.

Because when it comes down to it, in a long history of comedic roasts of singers, comedians, actor, actresses and former Presidents, there are only a certain select few others that people want to see roasted and Brady would likely be on many people’s lists, so the anticipation to see this and see those that will be doing the roasting should be very great.

Tom Brady Has Various Projects After His Playing Days Are Over

Along with his continued football career and the upcoming Netflix comedy special and road trip movie, ‘80 for Brady,’ Brady also has his career set after his playing days are over. Brady signed an impressive $375 million dollar contract to join Fox Sports on the broadcasting side of things as a lead analyst.

The CEO and Executive Chair of Fox Corporation, Lachlan Murdoch, released a statement that read, “We are pleased to announce that immediately following his playing career, 7-time Super Bowl Champion @tombrady will be joining us; at @foxsports as our lead analyst.”

“Over the course of this long-term agreement, Tom will not only call our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt but will also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to respect to client and promotional initiatives,” it continued.

So there is a lot of Tom Brady that will be in our lives in the years to come and whether you love or hate him, he at least is giving you all the options to dive into multiple realms of entertainment while you join him on this ride. It will be fun to laugh with him, laugh at him and see what he does next. To use his words, ”Let’s F—king Go!”
