‘Million Dollar Listing: LA’ Star Josh Flagg Divorcing Husband Bobby Boyd

Josh Flagg, Beverly Hills real estate guru and original star of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” franchise, announced that he and husband Bobby Boyd are divorcing after five years of marriage. Flagg posted the news in a statement on Instagram Friday night, thanking fans for their “unwavering support.”

“Bobby and I are divorcing,” he began without preamble. “This might sound abrupt but I felt I should be transparent from the top rather than bury the headline. This was not a rash or impulsive decision. We have been very thoughtful before coming to this conclusion. It was not a lack of love but rather the two of us growing in different directions and wanting very different things for ourselves. I care deeply about Bobby and have nothing but love and respect for him. I want how we separate from each other to represent that. Thanks to all for your unwavering support.”

Josh Flagg And Bobby Boyd’s Relationship

Flagg and Boyd were married in a larger than life ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Their wedding capped off the couple’s courtship and eventual engagement, all of which was captured on Bravo’s wildly popular real estate series.

Boyd instantly provided an anchor for Flagg, whose larger than life antics made him one of the most beloved members of the cast. While Flagg was over the top in business and in his personal life, Boyd was more reserved.

According to Page Six, the couple has been separated for some time, with Flagg living at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He’s presently on vacation in French Polynesia, and he’s about to close a massive deal on the Barbara Lockhart estate in Beverly Hills.

Support Rolls In From Across The Bravo Universe And Beyond

As soon as the news broke, supportive messages came through from all corners of the Bravo universe and beyond.

“I love you both so much and have tremendous respect for you both,” wrote Heather Altman, wife of Flagg’s “MDLLA” costar and former rival Josh Altman.

Though Altman and Flagg got off to a rough start on the show, often seen at each other’s throats at open houses, they’ve put their differences behind them and are now closer than ever. In fact, Flagg and Boyd have spent a great deal of time with the Altmans in recent years, and the two Joshes even launched a spinoff, “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles: Josh & Josh.”

Altman’s brother Matt Altman also weighed in: “So so so sorry to hear this guys. You are both amazing.”

“MDLLA” co-star Tracy Tutor sent a message for both Flagg and Boyd: “I love you both.”

Several members of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise posted messages to Flagg and Boyd, reflecting the friendships between casts.

“This had to be a hard decision,” wrote “Real Housewives of New York’s” Ramona Singer. “And I truly respect it.”

Heather McDonald of neighboring “Real Housewives of Orange County” celebrated both Flagg and Boyd in her message. “You both gained so much from each other, that will never change,” she wrote. “Love you.”

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’” Crystal Kung Minkoff sent love as well: “Love you both.”

Full Speed Ahead For Josh Flagg

Flagg is known for his social media hijinks, whether it’s getting into trouble with New York Housewife Sonja Morgan or breaking into Tutor’s house to take her dogs on a joyride.

He recently introduced “Edith Wednesdays”, where he shared a memorable clip from one of his grandmother’s many appearances on “MDLLA.” Edith Flagg, a Holocaust survivor, heavily inspired her grandson and delighted fans whenever she was spotted on the show.

Flagg’s business continues to grow, leading him to bid farewell to Rodeo Realty to join the Douglas Elliman real estate brokerage at the start of 2022. Variety recently named him one of the Real Estate Elite 2022.

Unlike his fellow “MDLLA” agents, Flagg’s roots in Beverly Hills run deep. He grew up in the prestigious zip code and is well-known around town. In fact, he was sworn in as the commissioner of the Beverly Hills Cultural Heritage Commission in 2020, cementing his connection to the town that he loves.
