"We have our children" - Yvonne Connolly opens up on her decision not to marry partner John Conroy

Yvonne Connolly opened up on her decision not to marry partner John Conroy this week.

The model turned TV chef, and her cinematographer parnter John have been together since 2012.

However, speaking to Daithi O’Se and Maura Derrane on RTE’s Today show recently, Yvonne revealed they were happy with their decision not to walk down the aisle, explaining: “We have no intention of getting married again."

She added: “We have our children . We are happily unmarried and it suits us."

Both Yvonne and John have children from their previous marriages. Yvonne shares three kids with ex-husband Boyzone’s Ronan Keating.

While John who split from his wife Suzanne of 20 years back  in 2012, has six kids with his former wife.

Last week, John shared a touching message to his partner on her 45th birthday.

Sharing some stunning snaps of the blonde beauty on Twitter, John wrote: "Happy Birthday to my gorgeous gal!! @ ConnollyYvonne So lucky to have you in my life. Can’t wait to see you in a week xxxxxxx."

Loved-up Yvonne sweetly replied to his message, writing: "Can’t wait to see you too."

However, while she might never plan on marrying again, Yvonne previously admitted to RSVP Magazine that she still believed in marriage for many people, explaining: "I do still believe in marriage, it’s not that I’m against it. If you’re going to bring up a family and you’re young, then absolutely. But John and I still lead very independent lives. He works away a lot, and my focus is my family. I love the bones of him, we have a great relationship, I miss him all the time and everything is perfect.

"I don’t see any reason to change that. We really enjoy our time together but I don’t see the need to get married at the moment."
