What The Venus-Jupiter Square Means For Your Love Horoscope & Relationships Until November 2020, According To Astrology

We are worthy of what we desire.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we want, we neglect to consider if what we want deserves us. This will all come to light on February 23rd, when our zodiac signs experience Venus square Jupiter, with Venus in Aries and Jupiter in Capricorn.

Venus in Aries square Jupiter in Capricorn will help us make different choices this year when it comes to love and what we are worthy of.

This is a transit that usually occurs twice a year, and this year is the same with the first occurring February and the second in November. While this occurs every year, it’s not always with the energy of these specific signs. The last time Jupiter was in Capricorn for this was over a decade ago, so this is a time for us to make the most of this opportunity!

In astrology a square represents an aspect in which two planets orbit within 90 degrees of one another. In this case, a square is often thought of as a hard transit, one that is challenging and seen by many as negative. However, the true nature of the square is that it provides a moment of opportunity — a chance to act and create change.

Although this transit only lasts one day on the 23rd, because we won’t see another until November, the energy and themes from this one will linger until then, affecting all of us and the relationships we’re drawn to participate in during 2020. It's the first year of our brand new decade, and the perfect time for change.

Venus is the planet of love, beauty and finances, and in Aries she must become more focused and determined in such matters. While this isn’t exactly a comfortable placement for Venus, a planet that prefers to be much more passive and gentle, it is beneficial for those of us who need the courage to act, to speak up, or to make the decision to be true to ourselves.

Venus in Aries is more masculine, more determined, more convicted when it comes to the pursuit of what we want.

Aries is a fire sign, and while he rules ambition and motivation, he also rules passion and desire. We will feel ours amplified in the coming year; we will be more strongly drawn towards that which we want.

But it doesn’t just stop there, because this isn’t the "us" of a few years ago or even 2019. We’ve learned our lessons, or at the very least are in the process of learning them, so we know we must make sure we don’t let our egos take us down the path of danger when it comes to love.

It’s all fine and wonderful to want something, but knowing what we do now, we must stop to ask: Are they worthy of you? Do they deserve you? Do you both deserve one another? Now, this isn’t about being flawless or perfect because we’re human, and the one guarantee we can make is that we’re going to make mistakes, hurt the person we love, and will have to take the long way to being the person we’re proud to be.

But deservingness and worthiness don’t have anything to do with perfect. It doesn’t have anything to do with past mistakes, errors or choices. But it does have to do with now, with this moment, and what we’re coming to the table with; what we choose to accept and what intentions we have both for ourselves and the person we choose to align with in a relationship.

This is the energy of Jupiter in Capricorn. While we want something, if it’s not grounded, based in respect, integrity, honesty and worthiness, it will forever lack the stability to grow in a healthy way.

Jupiter is the planet that rules abundance, luck and all the best parts of life. In the earth sign of Capricorn, it’s looking to break any stagnant beliefs or systems that are still in place, holding us back from living the life we love.

But it’s also here reminding us that we are worthy. We are worthy of the passion of Venus in Aries, but also the consistency of Jupiter in Capricorn. We are worthy of being seen and accepted for exactly who we are; we are worthy of receiving and accepting healthy love. It's a truth that will likely come into play during the next nine months as we move through the first year of our new decade.

While we are all about new beginnings this year, it is still a time of transitioning. A time when our old self may mesh with this new self as we learn how to walk with this new heart, learn what it means to feel deserving of abundance and love.

So, it’s important to be gentle with ourselves during this time. We aren’t taking any steps backwards, but instead learning how to keep the best parts of who we were and the life we had while we grow and settle into this new chapter in our lives.

For many, we are just beginning the process of rebuilding our lives or putting them back together after dismantled them in 2019, which means that new relationships may be on the horizon. While we’re not exactly swearing off love, we are swearing off love as a remedy to loneliness.

We will likely find ourselves being more conscious of what we’re worthy and deserving of, even having conversations about just that with potential new partners. But we’re also not in the place to give up what we want the most. Sure, we want our relationship to be healthy, but we also need passion.

Venus in Aries together with Jupiter in Capricorn will make sure we learn not just that we’re worthy of receiving it all, but that we’re worthy of what we desire.

No matter what we’ve done in our pasts at any moment in time, we can decide to become better so we can do better. Because that is what life is truly about: Not just knowing we are worthy of what we want, but of being the person we want to be.
