People Are Comparing Conor McGregor to 50 Cent After He Threw Terrible First Pitch at Cubs Game

Conor McGregor took the mound at Wrigley Field to throw out the first pitch ahead of the Chicago Cubs’ Tuesday night game against the Minnesota Twins. It did not go well.

We’ve seen several bad first pitches before, from Dr. Anthony Fauci in last summer’s MLB season opener to 50 Cent’s notoriously bad throw back in 2014, but McGregor’s toss might be the worst of them all.

Wearing a tight-fitted suit, the former UFC Champion unleashed a pitch that sailed to the backstop, toward the Cubs’ on-deck circle, landing just short of a few fans sitting in the front row. Even Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom, who was handling catcher’s duty behind home plate, couldn’t help but laugh, as the ball came nowhere near to reaching his glove.

This isn’t the first time McGregor was roasted for his throwing motion. Tuesday’s first pitch arrives nearly three years after the Irish fighter was killed on social media after submitting one of the ugliest football throws of all-time at a 2018 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars.

And yet, Tuesday’s performance is undoubtedly far worse. Scroll down to see some of the best Twitter reactions to the UFC fighter’s first pitch at Wrigley Field.
