Paris Jackson did not mince her words when she demanded psychiatrists stop handing out “addictive medication” as if it’s “candy”. Her solution? A “better vetting process.”

Michael Jackson’s only daughter spoke with LVR magazine where she quipped about having “a better vetting process [in everything]: before you medicate — or something even more dangerous, like selling a gun — you should vet them,” shared the budding activist.

Overall, the actress pointed out that there are so many things in society that need better vetting processes and she wants to speak up about them. “It’s important in all kinds of situations. It could be as simple as a job, or as complicated as medicine or a weapon.”

However, she paid special attention to medical professionals who she believes are wreaking havoc on prescription medication access.

Jackson herself had a bad relationship with prescription drugs after her father passed away in 2009. She got candid about how her addiction led her to multiple suicide attempts, alcohol abuse, and self-harm. Among other personal situations that she insists the public does not know about.

“I attempted suicide multiple times. It was just once that it became public,” she told rock publication Rolling Stone magazine in 2017. Jackson was referring to the very public suicide attempt in which she swallowed 20 Motrin and slit her wrist.

After seeking professional, residential treatment, in the school that Paris Hilton, Kat Von D, and countless others accused of abusive behavior, her problems got worse before they got better.

After her father’s untimely death in 2009, it was revealed through an autopsy report that the singer passed away from cardiac arrest because of a lethal combination of prescription drugs. That being said, Jackson has a right to want to push an agenda such as this one.

She called out mental health doctors for their role in what she describes as a messy system. “Psychiatrists hand out addictive medication like candy without really vetting the patient. There is no harm in vetting.”

Paris Jackson Looks Stunning Though!

The cover of the magazine is unsuspecting that the conversation would become so deep. The 23-year-old’s eyes are sparkling in the featured up-close cover shot of the Spring issue. The interview is appropriately titled “Paris Jackson, The Evolution of a Pop Royal”.

The whimsical looks and bold poses show off a more grown-up Jackson, one who has clearly been through some stuff and is ready to regurgitate. Asking bold questions like who is vetting who and why more people are not questioning this is her only scratching the surface of what she is ready to share.

The daddy’s girl admits that while prescription medication stole her father from her, she held on to a few things that keep her pushing forward in her quest to spread awareness and stay sober. “I have a pair of my dad’s PJs and a bracelet that he wore the entire time I knew him.”

She also notes that her brothers Prince and Blanket now going by “Bigi’ keep her strong in her pursuit.
