Witness In Trey Songz’ Miami Assault Case Claims Victim Wants Him To Be ‘Next R. Kelly’

New details have emerged in Trey Songz‘s sexual assault case involving a woman who accused him of violating her at a 2017 New Year’s Eve Party in Miami.

As you may know, the “Slow Motion” singer was sued earlier this year by a woman named Jauhara Jeffries for touching her inappropriately during a party in 2017. However, a recent revelation by a witness suggests that the singer might have been falsely accused.

Per TMZ, the R&B singer was sued earlier this year by Jeffries after a wrongful encounter in 2017. Jeffries, in her lawsuit, claimed she and Songz were at E11VEN nightclub in Miami after hanging out at an event organized by Diddy earlier in the night. While at the club, the victim claimed she was dancing on a couch when Songz inserted a finger in her vagina without her consent.

In response to the filing, the “Baggage Claim” artist asked the judge to toss the case, arguing that it had no basis. He argued that there was an unnamed witness who could clear his name. Songz’s attorney, Jeffrey Neiman, noted that the anonymous individual had been with the singer and the alleged victim at the club, making this person a valuable attestor to the truth.

In a shocking turn of events, the Grammy nominee’s lawyer claimed in their legal documents that this witness had been approached by Jeffries’ lead attorney, Ariel Mitchell. According to Neiman, Mitchell tried to win the witness over to the plaintiff’s side by making her a co-conspirator in the sexual assault claims.

A transcript from a recent court hearing for the case identified the “Na Na” Singer’s key defender as a woman named Mariah Thielen. During the hearing, the witness testified about her encounter with Jeffries’ lawyer, which occurred at a bar in Miami sometime in April 2021.

Recalling the meeting, Thielen noted that Mitchell reeked of weed and carried a gun, presumably to intimidate her into accepting the attorney’s proposition. As stated in the transcript, the alleged victim’s lawyer asked the witness to lie about observing the assault and lie that the R&B star also attacked her.

Mitchell allegedly told Thielen she wanted to paint Songz as “the next R. Kelly” and offered to pay between $100k-$200k if the woman changed her story to match Jeffries’s claims. To sweeten the deal, the attorney implied that Thielen’s cooperation would help the alleged victim earn a higher monetary settlement from the “Heart Attack” artist.

However, Mitchell’s plan fell apart because the witness refused to help, stating in the transcript that she would never lie even for “$10 million.” Instead, Thielen reported the alleged transaction to Songz’s team shortly after. More drama continues to unfold in the BET Award winner’s case as Mitchell refuted these fraudulent claims, assuring the news outlet that the witness would be charged for giving false testimony.

“We’re highly confident and certain the court will find the witness committed perjury,” Jeffries’s lawyer said, “Parties are still awaiting the judges’ further instructions on how to proceed given the witness’s inconsistent testimony during the hearing.” Surprisingly, this is not the first time Mitchell has faced off a celebrity in court. The attorney and her partner George Vrabeck previously represented a woman who accused Chris Brown of rape.

Both lawyers withdrew from the $20 million lawsuit after the “With you” singer shared proof of his close connections with the alleged sexual assault victim.

The ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’ Actor Accused Of Brutal Sexual Assault

Earlier this year, The Blast reported that Songz had received a $20 Million lawsuit from a Jane Doe, who accused him of violating her in a gruesome manner. The alleged victim claimed the Billboard chart-topper, whom she previously had consensual relationships with, attacked her in a suite at a party in Los Angeles on March 24, 2016.

According to the filing, Jane Doe repeatedly denied the “Fumble” singer’s request for anal intercourse, but the 37-year-old brutally had his way despite her begging him to stop. This violent interaction left the woman physically and emotionally scarred, resulting in her receiving surgery for severe anal tearing in addition to sexual assault counseling at the Providence Joseph Medical Center.
