Hulu is already in the Alex Cooper business but the streamer is doubling down on the Call Her Daddy podcaster.
The streamer has picked up Call Her Alex, a two-part documentary directed by Ry Russo-Young, who helmed HBO’s Nuclear Family.
It will launch the doc on June 10 following its debut at Tribeca Festival on June 8.
Call Her Alex will offer a behind-the-scenes look at Cooper, who is producing dating show Overboard for Love, first revealed by Deadline, for the streamer.
Cooper has had huge success in the podcasting space; she initially launched Call Her Daddy in 2018, alongside her then co-host Sofia Franklyn, with Barstool Sports before signing a huge deal, thought to be worth around $60 million, with Spotify in 2021. The podcast exploded becoming second only to The Joe Rogan Experience in the podcast charts, before she moved to SiriusX, in a deal valued around $120M, last year.

Call Her Alex is produced by Cooper’s Unwell and the deal was negotiated by Lionsgate on behalf of her production company. Russo-Young serves as an executive producer alongside Braden Bochner and Christopher Foss. Holly Siegel is producing.
“I’ve shared my life with the Daddy Gang since I started Call Her Daddy—but this documentary series takes it even deeper,” said Cooper. “It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the moments that shaped me—the raw, the messy, the personal stuff I’ve never felt comfortable sharing until now. My hope is that by bringing people along for this part of my journey, they’ll feel both more connected to my life and more empowered in their own.”
