In the wake of Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election, several celebrities have publicly expressed their displeasure with his win.

America Ferrera has joined that list, and seeing Trump get re-elected has made her fully committed to carrying out plans to leave the U.S. with her family.

According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the "Ugly Betty" alum revealed that Ferrera is "sick" over the fact that the billionaire mogul is "president again" and is "completely devastated" by the loss of his rival, Kamala Harris.

The insider also shared that Ferrera had hoped the U.S. was "better than that," but she is now shocked to see the majority of voters supporting Trump.

Despite the emotional weight behind her decision, Ferrera is not cutting ties entirely with the U.S. The source added that she still plans to maintain a "presence" in the country, particularly for work and for women and Latinas like herself, whom she aims to support and uplift.

However, she is now determined to relocate to give her children the "best opportunities possible" and is "prioritizing her life and focusing on the importance for her kids."

The Actress Was Spotted Visiting A School In South West London

Earlier in the week, reports emerged that the actress was spotted in the South West London area looking at a local school where her kids, son Sebastian, six, and daughter Lucia, four, could possibly attend. Ferrera shares the kids with her husband, Ryan Piers Williams.

At the time, Ferrera's being seen at the location prompted speculations that she intends to live there when she relocates to the U.K. with her family.

"It looks like she's planning to move to South West London," a source told Hello Magazine about Ferrera.

They added, "She has been checking out the local private school for her children. She was seen [at a private school in Barnes] at the open day and appeared very happy with what she saw."

According to the source, the school hosts a "lot of celebrity children," which appears to have convinced Ferrera that her "kids would fit in very well."

Ferrera also mentioned that voting for Harris would help her fellow Latinos achieve their goals in America.

"She [is] someone who will bring us closer to realizing our shared vision of America," Ferrera said, per WHYY. "One where the middle class has a fighting chance."

At the event, the actress was given an award for advocacy and representation. She also got to share how she was discouraged from getting into arts while speaking in a panel discussion.

"I grew up being told by just about everybody that everything about who I was was standing in the way of me getting to achieve my dream," she said.

The actress added, "That I was too this or too that or not enough of this and not enough of that, and that there was no place for me in my dream, in my love and passion for performing and telling stories and wanting to be a part of culture and making meaning. Somehow, I found a way to believe in myself despite that and keep going."

Ferrera's alleged plan to leave the U.S. comes amid Trump's landslide victory in the just concluded 2024 presidential election.

The ex-president notably picked up wins in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, soaring past the 270 electoral votes needed to return to the White House.

In a speech addressing supporters in Florida on Wednesday morning, Trump thanked Americans for their support, promising to "fight" for them and also usher in the "golden age of America."

"We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We're going to fix our borders, and we're going to fix everything about our country," Trump said, per CNN.
