Britney Spears thanks Lady Gaga for ‘kind’ words after Christina Aguilera slam

Lady Gaga is giving Britney Spears a million reasons to say thank you.

The “Toxic” singer, 39, showed her appreciation after the “House of Gucci” star, 35, celebrated the end of Spears’ conservatorship — something fellow pop diva Christina Aguilera declined to do.

“Thank you @ladygaga for genuinely taking your time to say something so kind,” Spears wrote on her Instagram Story on Friday night, just minutes after slamming Aguilera, 40, for avoiding the topic in a recent interview.

“You made me cry !!!” Spears added. “I love you !!!”

Gaga later shared a selfie in bed with the caption, “Love you @britneyspears Live your best life ❤️❤️❤️ I prayed for the legal system to treat you like a person. You’ve now changed the course for women in this industry forever. You stood up for yourself and were so brave. Thank you.”

The “Bad Romance” singer previously came out in support of Spears on Tuesday, telling “Entertainment Tonight” that the “Crossroads” star’s “mental health is important and should not be used against” her.

“I care for her, and I wish her all the best,” Gaga shared. “I’m so happy she gets to have the future that she wants now.”

Aguilera, on the other hand, passed on an opportunity on Thursday to address Spears’ newfound freedom from the legal arrangement that controlled her personal decisions and money for nearly 14 years.

When a reporter began to ask the “Dirrty” singer at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards to share her thoughts, she turned to her publicist, who interrupted the question by saying, “No, we’re not doing that tonight. I’m sorry. Thank you, though. Bye!”

While being escorted away, Aguilera blurted out, “I can’t, but I’m happy for her.”

It appeared that Xtina’s rep had cut off the interview because she needed to get inside to prepare for her performance at the awards show, but Spears did not take it that way.

“Refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie !!!!” she wrote on her Instagram Story over a clip from Aguilera’s awkward red carpet appearance. “13 years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about ??? I’m the one who went through it all !!!!”

The “Lucky” singer’s former “Mickey Mouse Club” co-star did, however, vocalize her support of the #FreeBritney movement in June after Spears testified in court that her conservatorship was “abusive.”

“It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish,” Aguilera wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “To a woman who has worked under conditions and pressure unimaginable to most, I promise you she deserves all of the freedom possible to live her happiest life. My heart goes out to Britney.”

Spears’ conservatorship ended on Nov. 12, with a Los Angeles judge declaring it was “no longer required.”
