Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist Are Getting Divorced After Only 3 Months
Last week, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist dropped a bombshell on 'GMA' announcing they are going their separate ways just three months after tying the knot.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations," the 'Golden Bachelor' lead said. "And we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and -- and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage."
Nist added, “We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope."

The New Jersey resident is happy with her job and its current location, indicating she doesn't want to leave the Garden State. While Turner is retired, he has family in Indiana.

Did Fans Figure Out The Real Reason Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist Split?
One fan shared their theory on social media, pointing out that during their 'GMA' interview, Turner and Nist said they couldn’t “close the gap” and never agreed on where to live, while simultaneously saying they did agree on South Carolina and even started house shopping.
That said, this fan wonders if, during the house-hunting process, it became known to Nist that Turner has financial issues that she was unaware of because "buying a house requires the banks and all to dig up everything under the sun."
The fan then points out that the "distance explanation doesn’t make sense" because "they DID agree on where to live. They started shopping for houses [in South Carolina.]"

Fans Agree That The 'Golden Bachelor' Divorce Was Due to Financial Reasons
The post went viral as other members of Bachelor Nation then shared their theories. Many agreed that financial issues could have been the real reason behind the divorce.
"I agree that their split is finance-related. He was so 'off' on their final date," one fan stated. "But his attitude completely shifted when Theresa mentioned that she got into investing later in life and had done really well for herself. He was suddenly 100% into her [after learning that], despite ignoring her for the first half of their date."
Another chimed in and said, "This was the turning point!! He obviously became interested, and his demeanor shifted 180* from indifferent to 'You have my attention!'"
Gerry Tuner And Theresa Nist Signed A Prenup
During their 'Good Morning America' interview, ABC News’ Juju Chang said the couple confirmed that they have a prenuptial agreement in place and “they highly recommend it to others."
The controversy behind the first 'Golden Bachelor' couple has been ongoing for months. Turner claimed he is now retired, but went on the show as a restaurateur who owned multiple establishments. In December 2023, the Hollywood Reporter claimed that Turner had misrepresented his career.
Turner has denied these accusations.
