Usually, I have methods (AirPods, earplugs, getting up and walking off) to deal with these sounds, rarely intervening unless the behaviour is particularly heinous. But I have to stay on public transport to get to my destination, and the sound-cancelling capability of my AirPods is being stretched real thin these days. Headphone dodgers have become louder, bolder, and more numerous. It’s too much.
