‘Jeopardy!’ In Review: May 9 – May 13, Everything You Missed!

Welcome to “Jeopardy!” In Review! This week, we will be revisiting the episodes from May 9 through May 13.

Monday, May 9 – Danielle Returns


On Monday, Danielle returned to defend her 1-day total of $15,600 dollars against Emily, an associative creative director, and Karim, a student.


The first round featured the categories: ALL ABOUT AMPHIBIANS // COLORFUL ALBUMS // PREPOSITIONAL LITERATURE // MENACE TO SOBRIETY // INTERNATIONAL RHYME TIME // 2 “R”s NOT TO REASON WHY


After the first round, Danielle had $5,400, Karim had $1,400, and Emily had $3,600 dollars.


The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: U.S. GEOGRAPHY // AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL MOVIES // LET’S GET NAUTICAL // YOU SIAD IT! // MAKE IT SINGULAR // THE NUREMBERG TRIALS


Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Danielle had $14,600, Emily had $8,400, and Karim had $1,400 dollars.


The Final Jeopardy! category was “NOVEL TITLES.” The clue read: “A 1590 poem written for the retirement of Queen Elizabeth’s champion knight shares its title with this 1929 novel by an American.”


No one was able to come up with a correct answer of “What is ‘A Farewell To Arms’?” Daniell dropped $2,201 dollars to win $12,399 for a 2-day total of $27,999 dollars.


Tuesday, May 10 –  Danielle Returns


On Tuesday, Danielle returned to defend her 2-day total of $27,999 dollars against Cherry, a software product manager, and Mallory, a children’s book editor.


The first round featured the categories: STATE CAPITAL ATTRACTIONS // NUMERIC HOMOPHONES // FROM SHE TO SHINING SHE // JEWISH-AMERICAN TRADITIONS // OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSE // COLLEGE SPORTS MASCOTS


At the end of the first round, Danielle had $1,800, Mallory had $8,300, and Cherry had $1,200 dollars.


The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: SHAKESPEARE PLAYS BY QUOTE // U.S. GOVERNMENT // JOHN GOODMAN IS HARD TO FIND // JAPANESE HISTORY // “G” WHIZ // THE WWF (World Wildlife Fund)


Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Danielle had $13,400, Mallory had $9,100, and Cherry had $2,800 dollars.


The Final Jeopardy! category was “LIVE MUSIC.” The clue read: “These 2 events held 2 1/2 months & 2,500 miles apart in 1999 were the last of one major music happening & the first of another.”


Only Mallory provided a correct answer of “What is Woodstock and Coachella?” Mallory added $5,000 dollars to create a new one-day total of $14,100 dollars.


Wednesday, May 11 –  Mallory Returns


On Wednesday, Mallory returned to defend her one-day total of $14,100 dollars against Daniel, a high school math teacher, and Micaela, a wine important manager.


The first round featured the categories: FROM QUEENS // GEOMETRY CLASS // AMERICAN HISTORY // “4”! // THIS & THAT // MORE THAN ONE MEANING


At the end of the first round, Mallory had $600, Micaela had $3,800, and Daniel had $5,200 dollars.


The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: BEASTLY ART // TIMELY TALK // SCI-FI TRILOGIES // BRAND NAMES // GOING GLOBAL // WHAT’S THAT SONG CALLED?


Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Mallory had $6,200, Micaela had $9,400, and Daniel had $13,000 dollars.


The Final Jeopardy! category was “SAY IT IN ITALIAN.” The clue read: “It’s an Italian word for ‘mercy,’ but also the name of a movie character who kills Stracci & Carlo.”


No one was able to come up with a correct answer of “Who is Clemenza?” Daniel lost $5,801 dollars to create a new one-day total of $7,199 dollars.


Thursday, May 12 –  Daniel Returns


On Thursday, Daniel returned to defend his one-day total of $7,199 dollars against Charly, a writer and test prep expert, and Matt, a management consultant.


The first round featured the categories: IN THE NATIONAL PARK // THE BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS // NATIVE AMERICAN WOMEN // BEVERAGES // SUBTITLED NONFICTION // OCCUPATIONAL HOMONYMS


After the first round, Daniel had $6,000, Matt had $2,600, and Charly had $800 dollars.


The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: ALL APOLOGIES // MUSICALS BY LYRICS // 4-SYLLABLE WORDS // THE 1960s // AUNTIE // ESTABLISHMENT


Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Daniel had $18,000, Charly had $7,600, and Matt had $200 dollars.


The Final Jeopardy! category was “CONSTITUTIONS OF THE WORLD.” The clue read: “Amendments to its 1901 constitution require approval of at least 4 states before receiving Royal Assent.”


Both Daniel and Matt provided a correct answer of “What is Australia?” Daniel didn’t wager anything so he kept his $18,000 to create a new two-day total of $25,199 dollars.


Friday, May 13 – Daniel Returns


On Friday, Daniel returned to defend his two-day total of $25,199 dollars against Ryan, a rideshare driver, and Marie, a retired registrar.


The first round featured the categories: BRISK LIT // D.C. TOURISM // HOLIDAYS & OBSERVANCES // DROP A LETTER // RED // TAYLOR’S VERSION


At the end of the first round, Daniel had $4,000, Marie had $4,300, and Ryan had $2,000 dollars.


The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: TREATIES // TV: WHO PLAYED ‘EM? // COMMUNICATION // PLACES IN THE BIBLE // OPERA // STARTS WITH “Y”


Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Daniel had $17,600, Ryan had $12,000, and Marie had $6,700 dollars.


The Final Jeopardy! category was “STATE NAMES.” The clue read: “This state was named for a man born in Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover in 1683.”


Both Ryan and Marie provided a correct answer of “What is Georgia?” Ryan added $6,800 dollars to create a new one-day total of $18,800 dollars.


But would he be able to keep his win streak going on Monday? Fans will just have to tune in to find out!
