“Wastin’ away again” in the Hamptons.
Jimmy Buffett made a surprise appearance during Kygo’s headlining DJ set at Palm Tree Music Festival on Saturday.
“I have a special guest with me for this next one,” the “It Ain’t Me” hitmaker, 30, told the crowd, as Buffett, 75, stepped onto the stage to perform “Margaritaville.”
“How are we doing tonight Long Island?” he asked the crowd at Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach.
Controversial Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy watched the show from side stage, while Sports Illustrated model Camille Kostek danced nearby with “We Wore What” designer Danielle Bernstein, Melissa Wood Tepperberg and Olivia Culpo’s sister, Sophia Culpo. The “Margaritaville” singer surprised the crowd during the middle of the DJ’s set.Instagram/@jimmybuffett
Kygo also brought singer Zak Abel on stage, before treating the crowd of approximately 5,000 to a rare, stripped-back rendition of “Firestone” on the piano.
Earlier in the night, Portnoy, who joked that his appearance resembled a character from “The Hangover,” revealed he met Buffett backstage.Palm Tree Music Festival was attended by the likes of Dave Portnoy and Camille Kostek.Instagram/@jimmybuffett
“I just had a little small talk with him. My favorite guy on the earth,” he said in an Instagram video.
“A lot of people hate me, a lot of people love me. Here’s the thing though: we all love Jimmy, and we all should be getting along. Life’s too short to hate.”The Westhampton event marked the second annual Palm Tree Music Festival.Instagram/@jimmybuffett
The lineup at the second annual Palm Tree Music Festival also included “Latch” hitmakers Disclosure, Claptone, Thomas Jack and Haywood.
Although Buffett wasn’t on the bill, he’s no stranger to making guest appearances in the Hamptons.
