Kate Middleton Says She Has Finished Chemo Treatment In Video Message

“I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have completed my chemo treatment,” Kate Middleton says at the start of a highly personal video updating on the Princess of Wales’ situation with her cancer.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate stormy waters and world unknown,” she wrote on X alongside the video, in which she can be seen with husband Prince William and three children.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” it added. Vid can be watched in full below.

In March, Middleton revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing the chemotherapy. There had been speculation about her health since soon after she first said she was having abdominal surgery in January, on the same day that King Charles was revealed to also have cancer. At the time she said she had been advised to undergo “a course of preventative chemotherapy.”

In today’s message, overlaid with calming music, she said “doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus.”. “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she added. “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”

The Princess thanked those who had provided support during this year, adding: “Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.”
