Kelly Dodd thinks Dr. Jen Armstrong’s split from husband Ryne Holliday is all for show.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum weighed in on the freshman cast member’s decision to file for legal separation from the father of her three children after the news made headlines Tuesday.
“Doesn’t mean they filed for divorce .. just means they want another season ❤️❤️❤️,” Dodd, 46, commented on Instagram, suggesting Armstrong was attempting to orchestrate a storyline that would entice Bravo to keep her around for a second season.
Armstrong, 44, filed her request in Orange County Superior Court on May 13, listing the date of her separation from Holliday, 42, as Sept. 8, 2021, and citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The cosmetic doctor, who has been married to Holliday for nearly eight years, asked for legal and physical custody of twins Cece and Vince, 10, and son Robert, 9, with visitation granted to the stay-at-home dad and business owner.

Despite Dodd’s assumption, a source close to the situation told us there was “no specific catalyst for the filing.”

“The issues they’ve been having are the same issues that played out on the show. But all is amicable, and they are committed to keeping their kids stable and happy.”

Viewers saw Armstrong pushing to have tough conversations with a seemingly uncomfortable Holliday, who was more interested in petting their beloved chihuahua, Mr. Puppers, than he was in discussing their marital woes on camera.
