Great news for fans.
Netflix has renewed hit series You for a fourth season, ahead of the show's highly anticipated third season which will premiere this week.

For those not in the loop, the show is a psychological thriller about a dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man named Joe (Penn Badgley) who goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.
Based on novels from Caroline Kepnes and co-created by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti, You originally premiered on US channel Lifetime in 2018 where it attracted a limited audience.
However, it became hugely popular once the show became available on Netflix, with the streaming giant then releasing its second season as a Netflix Original title.
Casting details for the fourth season will be released at a later date, presumably not to give anything away about season three.

"Reading Caroline's novel, Greg and I were instantly obsessed with Joe Goldberg and his twisted world view and it's been thrilling to watch Penn bring Joe to creepy yet compelling life," Gamble said in a statement.
"We're deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such monumental support, and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past three seasons.

Meanwhile, the third season of You is available Friday, 15 October globally on Netflix and finds Joe in the most precarious and "scared" position he has ever been in.
