WSJ. Magazine recognized the 41-year-old for raising her brand to a value of more than $1 billion. The 2021 brand innovator award winner is the first to be revealed out of WSJ.’s lineup of eight honorees.

Kardashian credited her brand’s landslide success to her work ethic, which she gets from her dad, late attorney Robert Kardashian Sr.

The businesswoman told WSJ. Magazine, in an interview, that her days are “completely micromanaged to the minute.”

Kardashian spoke on many ventures, including her family’s new Hulu series, beauty lines, managing SKIMS and studying for the bar exam.

The mother-of-four said she studies in her home office to get away from her kids. She also constantly works on her beauty line, and plans for rebranding SKIMS.

The CEO said she is always in fittings and fabric meetings and her full workdays make her love weekends at home.

The model said she doesn’t see herself floating on a yacht but loves her feeling when working. She noted that people expect her to be the family’s momager when Kris Jenner retires.

Kardashian said she is part of most negotiations already but hopes Jenner does not retire any time soon.

WSJ. Magazine Editor in Chief Kristina O’Neill told PEOPLE that Kardashian was an obvious choice for the award. O’Neill said 2021’s lineup of innovators is some of the most influential voices that refuse to accept the status quo.

The editor in chief added that Kardashian represents a “more inclusive approach to fashion that women everywhere have been longing for.”

Partnering With Another Recognized Brand

Per another PEOPLE report, Kardashian told WSJ. Magazine of a partnership with Italian Fashion Brand Fendi launching November 9.

The SKIMS x Fendi ready-to-wear collection boasts form-fitting dresses and tops retailing at $950, leggings selling at $1,100, and $2,950 puffer jackets suited to the winter.

Shapewear, swimwear, and lingerie with the SKIMS x Fendi logo will be available, as well as eight shades of a leather wrap dress retailing at $4,200.

Kardashian told the Magazine that the collaboration happened due to her friendship with Fendi artistic director Kim Jones.

The 41-year-old sent him a bunch of SKIMS wear after hearing the women in his office liked them. Jones and Kardashian then began discussing their partnership in December 2020.
