Huma Abedin and Alex Soros to go red carpet official at Met Gala

Huma Abedin will make her public debut with new love Alex Soros at the Met Gala, Page Six has learned.

The couple will step on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum on Monday and join a host of stars, including co-hosts Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth.

Sources confirmed that Abedin, 47, and Soros, 38, are set to attend the ball, where guests are also expected to include Rihanna, alongside Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

The long-time Hillary Clinton aide, revealed her romance with Soros — the son of billionaire lefty financier and philanthropist George Soros — on Valentine’s Day, when they both shared photos of their trip to Paris.

They have kept a low profile since then, but were spotted earlier this month sitting courtside to watch the Knicks take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

A source said that although it’s the plan for the couple to attend the ball, Soros’ plans can often change at the 11th hour.

Abedin, who served as vice chair of Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, has a son with her estranged husband, disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner. The pair are still not officially divorced.

She is close friends with Vogue editor Anna Wintour and the pair are often seen at dinner and the theater.

The pals have also been spotted out with Lauren Sanchez, fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos together on a power girls night out in June 2022. As we revealed, they will also be making their debut at the Met as well.

Abedin is a regular at the ball, but has apparently attended the event solo since 2016 — when Weiner last joined her on the red carpet. However, as Page Six revealed, she arrived with then-lover Bradley Cooper at the 2022 gala, but they split up for the carpet.

Soros has been a fairly private character until this new relationship.

He made headlines when his 93-year-old father skipped his older brother Jonathan and instead gave Alex the reins of the family’s holdings — including its nonprofit Open Society Foundation, which funnels about $1.5 billion a year to liberal causes.

Soros, an NYU grad, told the Wall Street Journal that he was “more political”, than his dad, signaling his intent on broadening his father’s liberal goals.
