Pete Davidson Dating Kim Kardashian Reportedly Causing Issues At ‘SNL’

Pete Davidson’s new relationship with Kim Kardashian is reportedly causing him issues at ‘SNL,’ including “missed rehearsals” for the sketch comedy show.

According to recent reports, Davidson’s antics are being described as “diva” after he allegedly missed a few rehearsals to hang out with his new fling, Ms. Kardashian.

A source close to the NBC show is saying the 28-year-old comedian is starting to annoy several of his colleagues, with his focus not being on the success of the weekly show. As you know, Pete appeared last Saturday on the show featuring host Ariana DeBose but was spotted in Los Angeles with Kardashian eating pizza and ice cream just days before the live broadcast.

“He missed the first few days of rehearsal last week and was still allowed to be in Saturday’s show. Normally, if you miss any rehearsals, you are out of the show on Saturday night, and the cast is starting to turn on him,” a source told The Sun. 

Of course, it should be noted, Pete’s relationship with Kim is huge headline news and draws attention to not only him, but the show itself. But, ‘Saturday Night Live’ doesn’t need the publicity and it appears the antics are starting to affect those around him.

Apparently, the missed rehearsals aren’t the only thing causing issues for other cast members and employees. The insider revealed that “he also now has security for when he’s outside the building.” Interestingly, the person pointed out that “Colin Jost married an actual movie star [Scarlett Johanson] and yet Pete is getting more attention.

Obviously, the relationship is fairly new and the couple is trying to spend the most time together as possible. As we reported, the two have been traveling between New York and Los Angeles to be with each other — including being spotted packing on huge PDA while on a secret date in L.A. last week. The couple was spotted holding hands and hugging while eating at an Italian restaurant.

During the holidays, Pete rented out an entire movie theatre for a private screening of Lady Gaga’s new movie, House of Gucci. Kim was spotted leaving Pete’s New York home after spending the weekend together.

At this point, it is a huge boost to Pete Davidson’s career to be dating such a high-profile celebrity and could help catapult him to A-list stardom. But, Loren Michaels [creator of SNL] isn’t one to deal with big celebrities and their issues. Over the years, many top comedians have left the show to go after major movie careers. It’s unclear if Pete is planning on staying on the show long-term.
