Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will visit the One World Observatory in New York City on Thursday morning with Gov. Kathy Hochul, Mayor Bill de Blasio, First Lady Chirlane McCray and their son, Dante, the Mayor’s Office announced.
Their Big Apple visit is the first public trip by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since moving to California.
The One World Observatory at 117 West St. is located on floors 100-102 of the One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the US and the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex.
On Saturday, the couple will make an appearance at Global Citizen Live at Central Park’s Great Lawn to discuss the importance of achieving global vaccine equity. They will call for the G7 and EU to donate at least 1 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses immediately for those most in need.
Since staging their sensational Megxit, Harry, 37, and Markle, 40, have focused on philanthropy and even made Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list this year.
The couple will not be bringing their 2-year-old son, Archie, or his 3-month-old sister, Lilibet, for the whirlwind trip.
The last time that Harry, 37, was in Gotham was in 2013, when he joined Chris Christie after Hurricane Sandy devastated the tri-state area.
The last time that Markle was in the city was for her heavily publicized, $500,000 baby shower in February 2019, held in the penthouse at the Mark Hotel, when she arrived from London on Amal Clooney’s private jet.
