‘RHOBH’ star Dorit Kemsley is breaking her silence on her husband’s controversial DUI, pointing out he was barely over the legal limit.
The ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ star was spotted in Los Angeles after appearing at the ‘People’s Choice Awards’ where she was questioned over her husband — PK Kemsley — recent arrest for DUI. Obviously, photographers questioned Dorit about the situation and questioned her on him getting arrested with such a low blood alcohol level.
As we reported, Kemsley blew a .081 BAC during a roadside breathalyzer test, which is just .01 over the legal limit. Plus, his level went even lower by the time officers drove him to an L.A. police station.
Dorit Kemsley: He Was Barely Over the Legal Limit
MegaDorit confirmed the story, after a camera person asked her point-blank, “Do you think he is going to beat the charges?” She responded, “He was barely over the limit, and fully understands and assured it will never happen again.” In other words, the family is hoping prosecutors cut him a break, and don’t charge him with driving under the influence.
According to multiple reports, Kemsley was pulled over on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles, on his way home from a business dinner. The reality star admitted to having one glass of wine at dinner, but that is it. After blowing slightly over the legal limit, he was detained and taken to a Van Nuys police station. His lawyer confirmed the bust, saying, “PK was arrested and cited on November 23 on suspicion of DUI. While out with a business colleague, PK consumed a glass of wine with dinner.”

MegaHe continued, “Following a traffic stop, it was determined that he may have been close to the legal limit. He regrets the fact he did not take alternate transportation home that evening. PK takes the allegations extremely seriously and fully cooperated with the authorities,” adding, “this would mark the first and only such incident in PK’s long driving history. He has learned a valuable lesson.”
Dorit agreed with the sentiment, telling photographers, “He’s very regretful, he fully understands and nature and the danger of drinking and driving.”
Interestingly, the photogs asked Kemsley about her recent brutal run-in with armed robbers who stormed her house in the middle of the night. At the time, she wasn’t injured by the men, who took off with high-end jewelry and handbags. But, photographers asked about her reaction to the recent killing of Jacqueline Avant, which was an eerily similar situation.

At this point, PK Kemsley hasn’t been officially charged with DUI, it is up to the City Attorney in Los Angeles. As for the Avant case, the shooter has been arrested and charged with murder for the killing.
