Sean Kingston arrested in California on fraud and theft charges after police raided his Florida home

Sean Kingston was arrested without incident in California Thursday after police raided his Florida home earlier in the day.

The “Beautiful Girls” singer — born Kisean Paul Anderson — was taken into custody near Fort Irwin, an Army base about 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Page Six.

There had been a warrant out for his arrest for numerous fraud and theft charges.

Kingston, 34, will be booked into jail in San Bernardino, Calif., according to the public information officer.

Reps for the Jamaican performer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment following his arrest.

Kingston’s South Florida home was raided by Dania Beach District detectives, the Strategic Investigations Unit and a police SWAT team Thursday morning after an investigation led to the musician’s 14,000-square-foot mansion in Southwest Ranches.

While the “Take You There” recording artist was not present at the time of the raid, his 61-year-old mother, Janice Turner, was taken into custody on fraud and theft charges.

Kingston later addressed the incident on social media Thursday afternoon.

“People love negative energy!” he wrote via his Instagram Story. “I am good and so is my mother! … my lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”

The “Fire Burning” singer’s arrest is reportedly connected to his ongoing legal battle with Ver Ver Entertainment, which sued him in February for unpaid fees related to the sale and installation of a 232-inch television.

“He basically has a sales pitch that he goes through to defraud people,” an attorney for the company, Dennis Card, alleged to Local 10 News Thursday.

“He induces them into giving him really expensive things. … This is an organized, systematic fraud.”
