Sophie Turner claimed in a bombshell lawsuit Thursday that she “found out” about her estranged husband Joe Jonas’ divorce filing “through the media.”
The “Game of Thrones” star revealed in court documents obtained by Page Six that her four-year marriage‘s “breakdown … happened very suddenly.”
Turner, 27, alleged that the now-estranged couple “had an argument” on Aug. 15, which was Jonas’ 34th birthday, before the Jonas Brothers member filed for divorce in Miami on Sept. 5.
The actress claimed to have “found out through the media that [Jonas] filed for divorce.”
Turner further alleged that the singer has “wrongfully retained” their two children in the United States since Sept. 20.


The “Dark Phoenix” star is suing Jonas in a Manhattan court for the return of their young daughters to her home country, claiming that they had agreed in December 2022 to “move to England.”
Reps for Turner and Jonas didn’t immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
When the former Disney Channel star filed earlier this month amid his Five Albums, One Night world tour with Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, he requested “shared responsibility” of Willa, 3, and her 1-year-old sister, whose name begins with the letter D.


The actor also claimed that the little ones had been primarily in his care.
Turner, for her part, was abroad filming her upcoming show “Joan” at the time, in which she plays British jewel thief Joan Hannington.

She has been pictured on set multiple times since splitting from Joe, from kissing co-star Frank Dillane in the ocean to taking a cigarette break in a short wig.

As for the DNCE member, he made headlines for stepping out with his toddlers on Sept. 6 to eat breakfast in Sherman Oaks, Calif., with his bare ring finger on display.
He and Turner welcomed Willa and their younger daughter, whose full name has not been revealed, in July 2020 and July 2022, respectively.
The Emmy nominee previously spoke about her desire to move across the pond, telling Elle UK in May 2022 that England was her family’s “ideal … final destination.”

She explained, “I’m slowly dragging my husband back. I really love living in America but, for my mental health, I have to be around my friends and my family. … [Joe] might take quite a bit of convincing!”
Turner began dating the songwriter, who grew up in New Jersey, in 2016. He got down on one knee the following year.
The couple got married twice in 2019, initially tying the knot in Las Vegas in May before having a larger ceremony in France the following month.
