Tensions Rise On ‘The View’ As Joy Behar SNAPS At Cohost Sunny Hostin

Tensions Rise On ‘The View’ As Joy Behar SNAPS At Cohost Sunny Hostin

Joy Behar is at it again!

The television personality who has recently been observed responding angrily to her co-hosts on “The View” reacted similarly towards Sunny Hostin during a debate regarding the former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence’s attempted joke.

Hostin interrupted Behar while she was discussing her reaction to Pence’s comments, assuming that she had finished speaking. Behar, however, exploded in annoyance and declared, “I’m not through yet!”

She previously snapped at co-host Ana Navarro for asking one of the show’s producers to provide his perspective on a controversial subject.

Behar once again reacted snappily to one of her co-hosts, just as fans had seen her do earlier in the month.

This time, the 80-year-old tv anchor was giving her point of view on an “attempted joke” former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence made while giving a speech at a political roast.

Pence had said that U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who is gay, was “the only person in human history to have a child, and all the rest of us get postpartum depression.”

Behar felt the joke was uncalled for, saying on the show, “I’d like to talk to the joke,” and began criticizing Pence.

She paused midway through her monologue, leading co-host Hostin to believe Behar was finished. However, the comic abruptly cut off Hostin as she expressed her opinion, saying, “I’m not finished yet!” and continued her rant.

In response to the outburst, Hostin silenced herself while the other co-hosts laughed awkwardly.

Part of Behar’s comment on Pence was how the former White House second-in-command has “a history of homophobia.”

She also said, “Here’s a guy who’s always been against gay marriage, he was against repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and even more egregious, as Governor of Indiana, he exacerbated an HIV epidemic in South Indiana by waiting to legalize needle exchanges and closing down planned parenthood which was the only HIV testing site in the area.”

“The View” showrunner outrightly declared that the public servant “should be ashamed of himself.”

Since the comment from Pence went viral, it has drawn condemnation from the White House and from the LGBTQ+ community. However, despite the backlash, the former vice president has yet to issue an apology.

Joy Behar Reacts Angrily To Ana Navarro

In a previous episode of “The View,” Behar became upset with Navarro’s attempt to ask a producer a question, per The Sun.

At the time, the show moderators were debating whether it was cultural appropriation when non-Indians put on Saris to Indian weddings. The discussion started with Navarro revealing that she was attending her first Indian wedding, also noting that she had been told they were extravagant.

Hostin weighed in, saying she knew where Navarro could rent an outfit for the wedding. Giving her own view on the matter, Behar stated, “Ana brings up a good point; she doesn’t know if it’s cultural appropriation to wear a sari to an Indian wedding,” to which Hostin replied, “Not if they request it.”

Rather than answer directly, Navarro sought the opinions of one of the show’s producers but was abruptly cut off by Behar, who remarked, “What are you asking him for?”

More Drama From Joy Behar And Ana Navarro

It’s unclear why Behar lost her cool and snapped at Navarro, but she did it again later in the program.

This happened when the hosts were conversing with Gail Simmons of Top Chef about her ambitious trip plans for the impending new season of the program.

Behar was on the verge of concluding the conversation to go on a commercial when Navarro loudly interrupted her.

The latter told Gail, “By the way, I want you to invite me when you go to Spain.” Gail then responded, “I’m in.”

Behar appeared displeased with Navarro’s behavior, then turned to the producers and rolled her eyes before gesturing furiously in the direction of her co-host. She also snapped fiercely at the panel, saying, “We gotta go!”
